Our Urzustand original state had called us to possess higher knowledge. We were meant to visibly enjoy the spectacle of the deeds of the Geist spirit which shine in the brilliance of its light. Indeed, we were meant to have power over the inhabitants of all those realms now withdrawn from us by the thick veil of the elements.
Since our fall, it has sometimes belonged to the purpose of Weisheit Wisdom to call some mortals here below to participate in such a great privilege, despite the Finsternisse darknesses that enveloped them. Yet it has just as often happened that these same darknesses, initially animated by the presence of that light, have afterwards attempted to combine with it. They soon tried to take its place by cunningly repeating the same deeds of which they had been witnesses, and taking from the human
spirit itself the means to deceive it. For they can read at once and simultaneously in the fertile realms of man's thinking and in his Unbesonnenheit imprudence, which is even more fertile. They turn this thinking, which should simultaneously be his support, his guide, and his general security, against himself.
The higher Gnade grace which Wisdom immediately bestowed upon some mortals had a double advantage. First, it was to teach these same mortals how sweet and precious all those treasures were which we once enjoyed, and how weak the nothingness is into which we have imprudently plunged. In this spirit, those privileged men afterwards spread their Unterricht instruction over the rest of humanity.
The works generated or infected by the darkness have an opposite purpose. They aim to persuade man that he still enjoys all his Rechte rights, and to withdraw from him the sight of that spiritual abandonment
