APOLOGY.

Physico-magical Metamorphosis, though some mistakenly label his published works by this name. Thus, believing that the stars, a most powerful part of Nature, required his labor, his Astronomical Books were printed in Strasbourg original: "Argentorati" with most elegant type. In these, he is said to have narrated truly admirable and divine things about the stars. To these are added his Medical Commentaries and all his unpublished writings, which have escaped our care. For we do not know what happened to them or where they are, as he himself preserved only their names by mentioning them.

THE REMAINDER OF HIS LIFE'S COURSE.

The acts of the man lie so much in obscurity, and I marvel that the memory of them has been abolished, since it is no empty conjecture from his own writings that many more were published. Such is the power of the poison of calumny that, in the most important part of his life, we are plainly ignorant of what he was like! Such was the hatred of the malevolent, and of Henry Silvius, about whom he quite often complains.

He himself describes various Travels. He joined himself as a companion to Giovanni Maria Guinochio, a theologian traveling through Germany. Among the Belgians in Amsterdam and Brussels, he suppressed the madness of the Atheists.
