of stars; they signify the Father's manifold power and wisdom, and they were also made out of the Father's power and wisdom. Now the heaven, the stars, and the entire depth between the stars, together with the earth, signify the Father. And the seven planets signify the seven spirits of God, or the princes of the angels, among whom Lord Lucifer was also one before his fall. All of these were made from the Father in the beginning of the creation of angels before the time of the world.
19. Now note: the sun moves in the middle of the depth between the stars in the round circle. It is the heart of the stars and gives all stars light and power. It tempers the power of all stars so that everything becomes fine, lovely, and full of joy. Also, it illuminates the heaven, the stars, and the depth above the earth, and works in all things that are in this world. It is the king and the heart of all things of this world, and it rightly signifies God the Son.
20. For just as the sun stands in the middle between the stars and the earth, and illuminates all powers, and is the light and heart of all powers and all joy in this world, furthermore, all beauty and loveliness exist in the sun's light and power: so also is the Son of God in the Father. He is the Heart in the Father and shines in all the powers of the Father. His power is the moving, welling joy in all powers of the Father, and He shines in the entire Father, just as the sun shines in the entire world. If one could take away the earth, which signifies the house of misery or of hell, then the entire depth would be entirely light in one place as in another. So also the entire depth in the Father is entirely light in one place as in another, from the radiance of the Son of God. And just as the sun is a self-subsisting creature, power, or light, which does not shine out from all creatures, but rather into all creatures, and all creatures rejoice in its power: so also the Son in the Father is a self-subsisting person, and illuminates all power in the Father, and is the Father's joy or heart in His center or midst.
21. The sun is born or made out of all the stars, and the light is taken from the whole of nature, and shines back into the whole nature of this world, and is connected with
the other stars, as if it were one star with all the stars.
22. So also the Son of God is always born from eternity, and not made, out of all the powers of His Father. He is the Heart and radiance from all powers of His heavenly Father, a self-subsisting person, the center, or in the depth, the Corpus body of radiance. For the Father's power begets the Son from eternity to eternity forevermore. Now, if the Father were to stop begetting, the Son would be nothing more; and if the Son no longer shone in the Father, the Father would be a dark valley, for the Father's power would not rise up from eternity to eternity, and the divine essence could not subsist.
23. Thus the Father is the self-subsisting essence of all powers, and the Son is the Heart in the Father, who is always born from all the powers of the Father, and who illuminates the Father's powers in return. You must not think that the Son is mixed into the Father so that one does not see or recognize His person. No, if that were so, it would be only one person. Just as little as the sun shines out from the other stars, even though it has its origin from the other stars, so little does the Son shine out from the powers of the Father, as far as His body is concerned. And although He is always born from the powers of the Father, He nevertheless shines back into the powers of the Father, for He is a different person than the Father, but not a different God. He is eternal in the Father, and the Father begets Him from eternity to eternity forevermore, and the Father and the Son are one God, of the same essence in power and omnipotence. The Son sees, hears, tastes, feels, smells, and understands everything, just like the Father. In His power lives and is everything that is good, just as in the Father, but evil is not in Him.
24. God the Holy Spirit is the third person in the triumphant holy Godhead. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, the holy welling fountain of joy in the entire Father, a lovely, gentle, and quiet whistling Original: "Sausen," referring to a rushing wind or a gentle breeze, like the "still small voice." out of all the powers of the Father and the Son, as seen in the prophet Elijah at Mount Horeb original: "3 Reg. 19, 12." and on the day of Pentecost with the apostles of Christ original: "Act. 2.".
