77. And the tree of the fierce quality, which is the other part in nature, was also ignited. It burned in the fire of the wrath of God with a hellish blaze, and the fierce source rose up into eternity. The Prince of Darkness with his legions remained in the fierce quality as in his own kingdom. In this fire, the earth, the stars, and the elements passed away, for everything burned at once, each in the fire of its own quality, and everything became separated.
78. Then the Ancient One moved, in whom is all power and all creatures, and everything that may be named. The power of the heaven, of the stars, and the elements became thin again and was formed into the shape they had before the beginning of creation. However, the two qualities, evil and good, which had been within each other in nature, were separated from each other. The evil one was given to the Prince of Malice and Fierceness for an eternal dwelling. This is called hell or rejection, which the good quality never again seizes or touches in eternity—a forgetting of all good, and that into its eternity.
79. In the other quality stood the tree of eternal life. Its source originates from the Holy Trinity, and the Holy Spirit shines within it. All people who had come from the loins of Adam, the first man, came forth, each in his power and in the quality in which he had grown on earth. Those who had eaten of the good tree on earth, which is named Jesus Christus, in them the mercy of God had welled up to eternal joy. They had the power of the good quality within them. They were taken up into the good and holy quality and sang the song of their bridegroom, each in his own voice according to his holiness.
80. But those who were born in the light of nature and the spirit and had never rightly recognized the Tree of Life on earth, but had grown in its power—which had cast its shadow over all people on earth, such as many heathens, nations, and infants—they were also taken up into that same power in which they had grown and with which their spirit was clothed. They sang the song of their power from the noble tree of eternal life...
...life, for each was glorified according to his power.
81. And holy nature brought forth joyful, heavenly fruits, just as it had brought forth earthly ones in both qualities on earth, which were evil and good. Now it brought forth heavenly, joyful ones. The people, who were now like the angels, each ate from the fruit of his quality and sang the song of God and the song of the tree of eternal life. In the Father, this was like a holy play, a triumphant joy. For this purpose, all things were made from the Father in the beginning, and so it remains now in his eternity.
82. But those who had grown on earth in the power of the wrath-tree—that is, those whom the fierce quality had overcome, and who had withered in the malice of their spirit and in their sins—they also all came forth, each in his power. They were taken up into the kingdom of darkness, and each was clothed in the power in which he had grown. Their king is named Lucifer, an outcast from the light.
83. And the hellish quality also brought forth fruits, as it had done on earth, except that the good was separated from it. Therefore, it now brought forth fruits in its own quality. The people, who were now also like the spirits, each ate from the fruit of his quality, as did the devils. For just as there is a distinction among people on earth in their qualities, and not all are of one quality, so it is also among the rejected spirits, and also in the heavenly pomp among angels and men. And that lasts into its eternity, Amen.
