A decorative tailpiece features the word "FINIS" The End inside a central rectangular frame. Above the frame sits an ornament resembling a crown or an urn with symmetrical palm fronds extending to the sides. A draped, scalloped garland of beads or small flowers hangs below the frame.
Mrs. Southcott's Writings are sold at E. I. FIELD'S, No. 2, High-Street, St. Giles's, near the Church, London; at Miss Eveleigh's St. Sidwell's, Exeter: and at Tho. Child's Rye-Market, Stourbridge, Worcestershire.
Entered at Stationer's Hall. This indicates the work was officially registered for copyright purposes at the guildhall of the Stationers' Company in London.
A small horizontal ornament consists of a row of linked circular and oval beads.
