THE CEREMONY OF RECEPTION INTO

The Master lowers his Wand, and there is a moment’s pause.

Master of the Temple.—Auxiliary Brother Zelator, Lucifer Light-bearer of this Holy Temple, lift up your Wand of Office and, remembering the All-Seeing Eye, assure yourself that those who are present here have seen the Light of the Crown.

Brother Zelator.—Brothers and Sisters of the Holy Order of the Rosy Cross, I demand the manual profession of the Secret Light.

This is given by all present with extended hands, except for the Master and the Lucifer. The Brother Proclamator and Lucifer lowers his Wand and gives the Sign to the Master.

Brother Zelator.—Honorable Master of the Temple, the Dawn original: "Orient" from on High has visited us.

The Sign is repeated by the Master of the Temple.

Master of the Temple.—Watch with me, therefore, for one hour, Brothers of the Rosy Cross.

The Master gives a rhythmic mark original: "Battery" of one knock— symbol for rhythmic mark —and leaving his Throne, turns to the East to begin the Purification Assoilment of the Temple. All present stand and turn Eastward. With the first and second fingers and the thumb of his right hand, the Master seals his forehead and says: YOU ARE original: "ATEH". He seals his breast and says: THE KINGDOM original: "MALKUTH". He seals his left shoulder and says: AND THE POWER original: "VE GEBURAH". He seals his right shoulder and says: AND THE GLORY original: "VE GEDULAH". He clasps his hands before him, holding his Wand under his left arm, and says: FOREVER. AMEN original: "LE OLAMH. AMEN". This procedure is specifically for his own cleansing, so that he may be worthy to purify the space around him.
