THE GRADE OF NEOPHYTE, 0=0

The Most Honored Imperator and offers his Vessel for blessing. The Imperator blesses with the Cosmic Cross and says:

Imperator.—Sanctify us, O Lord, in Your mercy, and bless this element original: "creature" of Fire, which I have set apart here for Your service, as an outward sign of graces that are shared within.

Brother original: "Frater" Thurificans makes a symbol of a cross within a circle (Cosmic Cross symbol) with his Censer Thurible and censes three times in the East. He proceeds, censing as he goes, and performs the same Ceremony in the four quarters, facing each point. He returns to the East, where he faces West before the Thrones, lifts up his Vessel of Fire and says:

Brother Thurificans.—The desire for the House of the Lord has consumed me. I have sanctified with Fire.

He returns to his place following the path of the Sun.

Imperator.—Stand around us in Your Holy Place, O Lord, and keep us pure in Your precincts.

This is said with raised eyes and an uplifted Wand, followed by a moment of silence.
