A mystagogical quintology

Then the entire unsolved problem of ourselves,
Supported by the wisdom of God,
Is made sacred by the presence of the King,
And is haunted by the secret of the King.
There, be certain, the royal voice shall first
Proclaim the great arcanum, over which
A profound secret or mystery; a deep hidden knowledge.
We dream and brood. O long and sorrowful way,
Your end is entirely within! O lifelong search,
Your crown is there! O light of all that is desired,
You are shrouded there, and there you will manifest!
O God, our end, if we can meet with You
In any place apart from all the rest of the world,
It is there only; and by staying there,
Waiting for You, our mystic comfort comes—
Our consolation, our uplifting faith:
That no one who searches within shall fail to find You—
If, O our God, You exist! And listen, the soul
Speaks in the depths of man and testifies!
Prophets may fail us, and the Christs may die,
And many Calvaries and Golgothas
Calvary and Golgotha are the sites of the crucifixion of Jesus; here used to represent places of ultimate suffering or sacrifice.
May still be waiting for the saviors of the race,
Without a single angel at the tomb,
Without the happy hope of Easter morning;
But never has the Sibyl soul, when called upon,
A Sibyl was an ancient prophetess; here it refers to the soul’s own prophetic or intuitive voice.
Given any answer from her oracle
But this: "God is with me, and God is within me."
