Each is separate; one defends, one condemns, and another balances between them. † Three opposite three, and one balances in the middle. Twelve wage war: three love, three hate, three give Life, and three give Death.

The three that love are: the Eyes, the Ears, and the Heart. The three that hate are: the Liver, the Gall Bladder, and the Tongue.

The three that give Life are: the Nostrils and the Spleen. The three that give Death are: the two openings for natural functions and the Mouth. And God, the faithful King, rules over All from His Holy Throne, for all eternity.

One over three, three over seven, seven over twelve, and all are united as one.

These are the twenty-two letters by which Ehyeh, Yah, Yahweh, Elohim, Elohim, Yahweh, Yahweh Tzevaot Lord of Hosts, Elohim Tzevaot, El Shaddai God Almighty, Yahweh Adonai engraved and made with them three books. He created His entire Universe through them and by them formed all Creatures and everything that will be formed.

Mishnah 4. When the patriarch Abraham (peace be upon him) came, he looked, he observed, saw, understood, reflected deeply, engraved, carved, combined, formed, and succeeded in the Mystery of Creation, as it is said ¹) "and he made souls in Haran."

At that moment, the Master of all things, may His Name be eternally praised, revealed Himself to him, took him in His arms, kissed him on the head, and proclaimed him "Abraham my beloved." He concluded the Cove-

-nant with him and with his descendants forever, as it is said ¹) and "having trust in God, He considered his trust as a virtue." He concluded with him a Covenant between the ten fingers of the hands, which is the Covenant of the Tongue speech/language, and between the ten toes, which is the Covenant of Circumcision. He tied the twenty-two letters to his Tongue, revealed his Mystery to him, made them descend into the Water, ignited them by Fire, and made the storm through the wind. He burned them by the seven ²) and led them through the twelve signs of the zodiac.
