which is his own heart, and gave it for him namely for the Anti-Christ, a prince in the third Principle to be a cover for him, which he ordained. That must now be the voice of Moses out of the [burning] bush: and the man of pride convinced himself that he had divine power on earth, and in his blindness he did not know that the q The Holy Spirit does not allow himself to be bound to any invented laws. q Holy Spirit did not allow himself to be bound.

14. But if a person wishes to come to salvation, he must be born again through the water in the centro center of the birth of life, which rises in the center, in the light of God. To that end, God the Father, through his Son, commanded baptism, so that we would thus have a law and a sharp reminder. Just as an uncomprehending child receives an outward sign, the inner man receives the power and the new birth in the center of the birth of life, r That is, in the ground where the mustard seed is sown and takes growth. r and that is where the confirmation arises, which brought the light of God into Adam when the light or heart of God the Father first touched or rose in the center of the fifth form of the birth of life in Adam. s Note here what baptism actually is. s This also occurs in the baptism of the child and also in the repentant person who comes back to the Father in Christ.

t The operation or working.

15. t The last supper of Christ with his disciples is a covenant exactly like the baptism of children. Whatever happens to the infant children in baptism also happens to the poor sinner who wakes up from the sleep of the Anti-Christ and comes to the Father in Christ and through Christ, as shall be discussed in its place.

16. Therefore I have wanted to warn you and point out beforehand that you must not look at flesh and blood in these high things, nor at the worldly wisdom of the high schools meaning the universities and academic institutions of the time. Instead, you should think that this wisdom is planted by God himself in the first, the last, and in all people. The only thing lacking is that you return to the Father like the original: "verlozen Soon" Prodigal Son. Then he will put a new garment on you and place a signet ring on the hand of your mind. Only in that same garment do you have the power to speak of the birth of God.

17. But whenever you have not obtained that [same garment] and want to brag much about God, you are a thief and a murderer. You do not go through the door into the sheepfold of Christ, but you climb in from the outside along with the Anti-Christ and the thieves into the sheepfold. You wish to do nothing other than murder, rob, and seek your own honor and pleasure at the expense of the peace of the Kingdom of God. Your art from the high schools helps you not at all. That you sit in great esteem through the favor of men is poison to you, and you sit on the pestilential chair. You are merely

Chapter 4. Of the true eternal nature.

a servant of the Anti-Christ; unless it be that you are born anew and learn from the Holy Spirit, then v Or your office, that which you serve. v your seat is very dear and pleasant to God. Your sheep shall hear your voice, and you shall graze them and lead them to the Chief Shepherd. God will demand the same from your hands. Therefore consider what you teach and speak of God without the knowledge of his Spirit, so that you are not found to be a liar.

Here follows further the chapter.

18. The eternal bearing is a birth without beginning and has neither number nor end. Its depth is bottomless, and the band of life is unbreakable. The x That is, the starry or air-spirit. x sidereal starry and elemental spirit cannot see it, much less grasp it. He only feels such things, and in the mind he sees the luster. This mind is the chariot of the soul upon which y Or the grasping. y she travels in the first Principle the dark world or first state of being in her own seat, in the eternal bearing of the Father: for she is entirely his own being. z That is, vain, empty, or entirely different, or nothing. z That is, without a body, yet having the form of the body in her own spiritual shape understand, according to the image. Provided that the soul is born again in the light of God, she sees a His vein or life-source. a in the light of God the Father which is his luster or Son into the eternal birth through the light, in which she lives and remains eternally.

19. You, O man, understand it rightly: God the Father made man. The beginning of his body is from the [one] Element, or from the root of the four elements from which b Understand, the four elements. b they go out. Which [Element] is the fifth essence being before the four elements from which the dark c Otherwise: dust-vapor or mist. c wandering mist became, before the times of the earth. Its d Its vein or life-source. d origin is the source of the water, and from that this world with stars and elements, together with the Heaven of the third Principle the physical world, was created.

20. But the soul is purely from the Father's original bearing, breathed into man through the e Flowering or hovering spirit. e surging Spirit understand the Holy Spirit who goes out from the Father, out of the light of the Father. This [original bearing] is before the light of life, which is in the four anxieties from which the light of God kindles itself, where the origin of the Name of God is. Therefore the soul is God's own being.

21. And if she raises herself back into the anxiety of the four forms of the origin, and out of pride since she knows she is powerful wishes to f Understand the word "qualify," the fiery bearing, like the breath goes out to sustain life. f qualify in the origin of the fire, she becomes a devil. For the devil also, with his legions, had this origin, and out of pride he
