Sermon on the Mount.

But I say to you: That you should not swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is God's throne.

Nor by the earth, for it is his footstool, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of a great King.

Neither should you swear by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black.

But let your speech be "Yes, Yes", "No, No". Whatever is beyond that is of evil. James 5:12.

You have heard that it was said: Eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Exodus 21:24. Leviticus 24:20.

But I say to you, that you should not resist evil, but if someone gives you a blow upon your right cheek, offer him the other as well.
