When you fast fastet abstaining from food for spiritual discipline, you shall not look sour like the hypocrites Heuchler. For they distort their faces so that they appear to people to be fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward already.

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face.

So that you do not appear to people to be fasting, but to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees into what is hidden, will reward you openly.

You shall not gather treasures Schätze wealth or riches for yourselves on earth, where moths Motten insects that eat cloth and rust Rost corrosion of metal consume them, and where thieves dig in and steal.

But gather for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moths nor rust consume, and where thieves do not dig in nor steal. Luke 12:33.

For where your treasure is, there is also your heart Hertz the center of one's will, values, and emotions.
