The answer of the Lord to the powers of darkness

For no more power is in Satan's hand,
Than the proud king Belshazzar. could command from his gods.
Which in his heart he set up and praised,
And everyone joined with him—now behold My ways!
How the Hand-writing instantly appeared;
And now, like him, O Satan, you must fear,
What was brought to the king were only shadows then,
But now I will bring the ruin upon Satan.
For now the Prophet Daniel's words have come,
And Satan's gods of gold are now made known,
And My Hand-writing appears to him,
He saw the hand, but could not make it clear,
What were the words that reproved him so,
Nor could he interpret how the Spirit moved;
Their blindness could not see the Hand of God,
Nor the Hand-writing; how he was reproved!
But now a Daniel shall appear to them,
And I will now make the hand-writing clear.
You have seen all the judgments that were passed on man,
When I threatened, their ruin came;
For they were cast out of Eden at first,
And the Deluge burst upon the world,
When I threatened it, I fulfilled it,
And I chilled Pharaoh's heart in the deep;
And I surely cut off Ahab's house,
And Jezebel felt My righteous wrath;
Though she adorned herself to tempt man,
But see what her beauty soon became:
Cast from her grandeur for the dogs to tear!
And now, O Satan, this shall make you fear;
To see that I always kept My Word with men,
And where is the power that escaped My Hand?
When Sodom and Gomorrah appeared,
They attempted there against My Angels;
They The angels did soon destroy them,
But know, that Lot enjoyed protection;
Because he went to free the Angels,
Though they appeared to him as only men,
Because they were Angels, Lot knew,
And showed his kindness to protect them.
And now the same, mankind has shown it here,
Nothing but a woman appears to them;
Perfect in her form in every manner,
But her Spirit is unknown to man:
I tell you all, it is as much concealed from man,
As were the Angels who came to Lot.
But now a mystery must appear to all,
Just like the Angels, the woman came here;

To warn you all of what was hastening on,
But she surely found protection in man:
When Satan's host pressed upon the door
With every threat, they appeared to her.
Then now, like Sodom, you shall see your doom,
The men who pressed upon the door were He Meaning Satan's influence through men..
I tell you, Satan, and your hellish host,
Man must be freed like Lot, and you are cast out:
Because you now pressed hard upon her,
You did not regard the weakness of her sex.
And now I'll regard your greatness no more,
You'll find My Angels were at the door;
And did protect the woman's innocence!
And now, like Sodom, expect your doom;
Unless you now obey My desire.
I do not want you to come back to Me;
Only, I tell you to obey My will;
Or else, you will surely feel My fury:
If you will trifle with the laws of God,
Jerusalem felt My fatal rod!
Then, if I always kept My Word with Man,
Can you expect to shun My judgments?
When now they are fixed severely against you,
If ever you aim to tempt My Chosen here:
Then you shall surely see the hand-writing,
And now I'll tell you your destiny plainly:
For now, O Satan, I do tell you here,
The meaning of the vision that was there:
Your kingdom is now numbered by God,
And He will finish it as He has said;
Because you have run through all your kingdom,
Your reign is short, and you will shortly know it:
Because the Lord will shortly finish it,
If you do not now submit to His laws.
For you are surely weighed in the balance,
And found wanting, according to all that you have said.
Now you appear wanting in wisdom;
Wanting in truth, you cannot clear your lies:
Wanting in power to support your word,
And soon you'll see that all the power is God's.
And so I shall now divide your kingdom,
From the Medes See Daniel 5—latter part. and Persians, it shall now be applied;
The Jews and Gentiles shall soon take the whole,
And it shall fall to the law and gospel:
So now, like Belshazzar, is your lot,
For your destruction is written in My Bible;
