The answer of the Lord to the powers of darkness

For now I have come the sinners to call
To the lost sheep, and now, to redeem you all.
Now to the forty-fourth page appear,
The words of Satan I shall answer there:
What has provoked Me now, I'll let him know,
Let him look back and see how all did go;
In every age what evil he has done!
And was my anger never shown to man,
When on their heads I did the evil turn?
And in My Heart the anger did burn,
To see you, Satan, lead them all astray;
And in My Heart I have always carried the day,
When on your head I had the whole return;
It was only lent to you—all that you have done:
That I the debt from you did not demand,
Avenge My Murder on your bloody hand;
When Judas, as a man he did appear,
And hanged himself, for guilt he could not bear!
So at that time you killed both God and man;
Did I not know which way you laid your plan,
And how, by arts you worked then on men?
And did you not betray My Disciples,
And was their blood not surely shed by you?
But mark, the sixth day, I did surely appear
To die for man!—the six thousandth year
Is nearly ended; it must now be made known;
But mark, the sixth day was but partly gone,
When on the cross they surely nailed Me up!
And the six thousand years now cannot end,
Until on the cross they make Me up the same;
So now I let you know your time has come.
Though darkness then was over all the land;
From the sixth hour, then understand!
That three years of darkness will in man appear.
Though on the cross I have shown you Satan here,
How by man, he surely shall be cast out;
And yet, I know the darkness it will last
Over all lands! I know it will appear,
Gross darkness in the minds of men for three years.
For one is already past in darkness,
And now the second is hastening fast!
And nothing but darkness in the Sons of Men,
Therefore they do not see the mysteries plainly.
But when the ninth hour did appear,
Mark well the shock that all the Earth did bear!
Or else, remember what they then did see,
And then the ghost was given up by Me!
That is, My Life I did for man resign,—
And now, O Satan, you shall know my mind:

For all your friends you'll know them in three years,
From the new date that this first appeared.
And then the temple's veil from You I will rend,
And something new to You I will surely send;
Then Satan and Apollyon Apollyon is a Greek name for the "Destroyer" or "Abaddon" mentioned in Revelation 9:11. both will see,
The Anger of the Lord is inflamed with You.
So now if you want to pacify My Anger,
Consent to let My sealed People lie
In peace and safety, and do not molest one:
For fatal vengeance on your head is cast,
If ever you molest My sealed People;
Or ever tempt them, your doom is set:
Because My heated fury shall appear
Seven times hotter now, I tell you here,
Than ever it was poured out on man,
Because their blood upon your head shall come;
And you shall find her God does not deceive,
I will be a God to her as she believes:
And then with grief you will see her paper,
Your fatal end, Satan, will follow you:
So now, I tell you, it is high time to fear,
For your destruction now is drawing near;
For your own ruin now, you are bringing on,
And to the forty-sixth page now I'll come.
And they shall find Satan deceived them all,
When out of Heaven he called his host:
To stand out in words against their God,
He deceived them all in what he said,
That he had power, as he said, supreme!
And now have I not shown his power in men?
And now he may see it clearly in danger;
And from Belshazzar Belshazzar was the last king of Babylon, famous for the "writing on the wall" in Daniel 5. I shall answer here:
When he began to praise the gods of gold,
Of brass, of iron, and adored their ways;
And did begin to praise the wood and stone,
Then the Hand-writing was shown to him!
Showing that all his idol gods must surely fall:
And he then called his astrologers,
To give the meaning of My every Hand,
But neither one could command the mysteries;
Until the Prophet Daniel did appear,
And now I'll begin to clear the mysteries.
The fallen gods of gold have now become,
To set up the honor of their king,
That is, of Satan, and the fallen host,
And of his praises they begin to boast;
And they have brought forth all his worship here,
