The official seal of The Egypt Exploration Fund is depicted, featuring a circular border containing an Egyptian-style gateway or pylon. The pylon is decorated with a winged sun disk on its top cornice. Within the pylon's opening, a figure, likely Harpocrates (the child Horus), sits on a lotus flower, flanked by two large cobras and two smaller standing figures. Lotus flowers appear on long stalks to the left and right of the pylon. Two additional winged sun disks are positioned at the top and bottom of the composition. The organization's name is inscribed within the circular frame.
