First Instruction

Invocation

Victory to the King of Mercury (Rasarāja), the destroyer of death and earthly decay. It is the repository of all virtues and the master of rejuvenation (kāyakalpa). When consumed by those increasing in vigor, it destroys wrinkles and gray hair, and enables even the steady to engage in the pleasures of women. (1)

Praise of Body Perfection

Now, I shall explain the most excellent body perfection (dehasiddhi). By its attainment, all perfections are achieved by humans. (2) Without the body, there is nothing desirable in the three worlds. Therefore, every effort should be made for it. (3)

Preliminary Actions for Elixir Intake

On an auspicious day, having performed vomiting and purgation, then for the purpose of special purification, [use] the fluid from the Ketakī flower. (4)
