Rasārṇavakalpa, a Sanskrit manuscript on Indian alchemy and iatro-chemistry, is a work from approximately the 11th century A.D. As part of the Rudrayāmalatantra A series of esoteric Hindu texts., it consists of alchemical processes and preparations related to the transmutation of base metals into noble metals and the transubstantiation of the human body on the one hand, and symbolic or esoteric tantric rites on the other. As for the originality of the Rasārṇavakalpa, it appears to be a codification of the alchemical knowledge prevalent at that time.
