You should avoid oils that are excessively pungent or astringent, fermented gruel kāñjīka, as well as salty or sour foods, vegetables, and any food that causes a burning sensation in the stomach. (334)
O Goddess, amṛta Nectar of immortality and poison are both present in mercury and sulphur. (336) When prepared correctly, it is nectar; when prepared without the proper procedure, it is poison. A seeker desiring siddhi Spiritual or physical perfection should consume it according to the prescribed method. (337) If consumed according to the proper procedure, it yields the fruit of all desires. First, take sulphur equal to two pala A unit of weight, roughly 48 grams. (338)
Mixed with vātāri oil Literally "enemy of wind," a medicinal oil for rheumatic conditions and the juice of triphalā A traditional herbal mixture of three fruits, the wise practitioner should consume sulphur to destroy aging and disease. (343) Through a one-month course, O beloved, one destroys the eighteen types of leprosy, rheumatic tumors, consumption, spleen disorders, and anal fistulas. (344) It destroys the eighty types of rheumatic diseases and blood-related ailments. By a six-month course, wrinkles and gray hair vanish; (345) one regains youth, one’s hair becomes dark like a bumblebee, one attains divine vision, immense radiance, and becomes like a second Shiva. (346)
One may also take one pala of sulphur mixed with milk. Through a six-month course, one destroys ringworm and itching. (347) By a one-year course, one destroys aging and death. Consume one pala of cow’s ghee with half that amount of sulphur. (348) Through a three-month course, a divine body is generated. (349)
Thus, the wise should perform these procedures according to the months. (350)
By a one-year course, one lives for three hundred years. (351) Take half a pala of sulphur and one pala of mercury. Take one pala of sulphur, three pala of kanyā Aloe vera, three pala of honey, and fourteen pala of sugar. (352) By a one-month course, one becomes free from all diseases. After six months, gray hair is destroyed, and the man becomes kāmarūpī Able to assume any form at will. (353)
Take one pala each of sulphur and mercury, three pala of kanyā, and three pala of garlic. (354) With half a pala of sugar, after a six-month course, the man becomes free from all diseases and possesses a firm body. (355)
Sulphur, mica, and mercury, treated with the juice of nirguṇḍī Vitex negundo, a medicinal shrub—one should consume one karṣa A unit of weight, roughly 12 grams of this with milk, having processed it seven times. (356) When heated in a blind crucible A sealed crucible used for calcination, it destroys aging and poverty. Grind sulphur and tāla Orpiment/Arsenic with mercury using the plant's seed. (357) The wise should keep this buried in the earth for one month. When heated in a blind crucible and coated with silver, it turns into gold. (358)
One should consume this daily to increase strength and radiance. O Goddess, when combined with triphalā, it grants divine vision. (359) When combined with kācamācī Solanum nigrum, black nightshade, it kills (fixes) mercury. Sulphur combined with kācamācī cures ringworm and skin diseases. (360) When applied to iron using the sulphur stone, all metals melt like water. (361) Sulphur, rasaka Zinc ore, tāpya Copper pyrite, mercury, and red sandalwood, when combined with the juice of rudantī Cressa cretica, transform silver into gold. (362)
