Rasārṇavakalpa (English critical edition)

Held by the heat of the sun, the mercury becomes divinely potent through the power of the medicinal herb. O beautiful-faced one, it transmutes all base metals when used in the proportion of one-hundred-thousandth part. (436)
Alternatively, if one places it in the mouth, the person becomes invisible. (437)

The Method of the Kuṣmāṇḍī Herb

In the country of Kaṅkaṇa, there resides that noble goddess. To her northeast lies the cave of Dhanvantari The Hindu physician-god, father of Ayurveda.. (438)
There, the divine herb known as Kuṣmāṇḍī is established; it serves for the amusement of the people and is beneficial to the body. (439)
With sincerity, grind the leaf of this divine herb by hand. From its juice, it is certain that a vermilion color will appear on the hand. (440)
Having seen this proof, the wise practitioner should coat metal with it and blow upon it in the fire, burning it with intense heat. (441)
It becomes divine gold, adorned with divine ornaments. The juice of this herb should be taken, and with it, the mercury pārada should be ground. (442)
Through the power of the divine herb, the gold becomes beautiful. Having witnessed this proof, one should consume it for one month. (443)
One becomes handsome, with a body like Cupid; there is no doubt about this. Whether a woman or a man, within six months they will be free from disease. (444)

By this, one surely achieves a divine form. One should consume the medicine and keep a dietary regimen, eating food with goat milk. (445)
Through the juice of that herb, the stabilization of the mercury occurs, and by it, the diamond becomes very supple. That excellent diamond, when applied in the ratio of one-thousandth part, performs transmutation. (446)

The Method of Īśvarī

Listen, Pārvatī, I will tell you accurately as I have been told. Understand the majesty of the Īśvarī-kalpa The method/ritual of the Goddess. as it truly is. (447)
I will tell you the characteristics, O beautiful one; it is not a minor jewel. It has a black stalk, and its leaves resemble betel leaves. (450)
Its flower is yellow like gold; one should recognize it by these signs. That which is seen by one suffering from poverty is considered to be the Īśvarī herb. (451)
Because it is the tamer of the Nāgas Serpents/serpentine beings., it is known as Nāgadamani. (452)

It quickly renders one free from poison; one should apply it to the palm. O Goddess, when present in the body, it removes both stationary and mobile poisons. (458)
It removes all types of poison for one in whose body it resides. When combined with ghee, Īśvarī destroys them instantly. (459)
It treats fire-burns, donkey-spiders A specific type of venomous insect or spider., insects, and malignant ulcers. It also cures leprosy, fistula, and the painful gaṇḍamālā Scrofula or swollen lymph nodes.. (460)
When combined with urine, it destroys the eighteen types of leprosy. One should consume half a portion or drink it mixed with ghee. (461)
An infertile woman will conceive a son who is long-lived and handsome. One should cast a diamond into it and immerse it in that juice. (462)
