Green vitriol, rock salt, table salt, and Surāṣṭrikā alum; mixed equally with sulfur, this Biḍa becomes fire-producing. (84)

Now I shall speak of the intake of mica. One must properly prepare a metal crucible according to the Karotī skull-shaped method. (85)

By the use of a water-vessel apparatus water-bath or controlled heat apparatus, the mercury, combined with the Biḍa, undoubtedly consumes the portions of mica. (86)

Therefore, the characteristics of the water-vessel apparatus are described by me. A well-rounded iron vessel is used, and three āḍhakas a unit of measurement of water are placed therein. (87)

In its center, a metal crucible must be firmly placed. Inside the metal crucible, place purified mercury. (88)

Combined carefully with one-sixteenth part of Biḍa, and sixty-four parts of mica-essence in the same crucible. (89)

Seal the crucible afterward with strong water-clay. Or, use fire-clay to ensure the joints are sealed. (90)

Place that apparatus on a stove filled with hot water. Fire should be applied gradually for half a day. (91)

When done in this manner, it will surely consume the measured portion. By this same method, one should certainly consume six portions. (92)

When mica-essence is consumed, it provides success in all works.

Now, the process of core-liquefaction, which enhances qualities, is performed. (93)

I shall tell you accurately how it provides success for the King of Mercury. Pyrite-essence, mica-essence, and Ghoṣākṛṣṭa a specific processed copper— (94)

One should heat all these in equal parts with a wood-fire. With two bellows, until the mica is added. (95)

One should make the mercury consume that mica-essence in equal parts. In this way, three-fold consumption is performed in mercury. (96)

The liquefaction of the core is said by the best physicians to be the consumption.
