Then, placed in a dhurta fruit the fruit of the thorn-apple, Datura metel, one should steam it one hundred times. Cooked thus with great oils mixed with dhurta oil oil of Datura, it reaches hardness. It performs the fixation of diamond a symbol of absolute stability or indestructible matter well, there is no doubt. (10-11)
When held in the mouth, it is always a stabilizer of virility. One such binding by herbs is declared for mercury. (12)

Now, another type of binding for mercury:
1. Nāgārjunī Dugdhikā the milkweed species.

One should triturate it with the juice of the roots of Nāgārjunī a plant named after the alchemist Nāgārjuna for seven days. (13)
Chewed in the mouth and pulverized with a stick of nimba neem wood, mercury becomes like fresh butter. (14)
Having bound it with a cloth and placed it inside a dhurta fruit, cover it with cow dung and cook it in a fire of dried dung cakes. (15)
In a Lāvaka quail puṭa a specific measure of heat for calcination, cook it well with increasing intensity one hundred times. Cook it for the duration of three months inside food. (16)
Afterward, give it one hundred puṭas with six times the amount as before. In this very way, mercury is always bound. (17)
This experiment, verified by sight, is declared for the practitioner. When held in the mouth, it is a supreme stabilizer of virility. (18)
Bound in this way, the excellent mercury is capable of stabilizing diamond.

Triturate purified, well-impregnated Abhraka mica and mercury together with the juice of the arka calotropis procera root for one day with effort. Then a diamond-crucible a vessel capable of withstanding intense heat should be made, made firm and smooth. (19-20)

Smear it with the paste made from arka root. Placing the mercury inside the crucible, seal it with another crucible. (21)
Heated for half a yāma three hours, the mercury becomes a khota a stiffened, solid state. Realizing it has cooled by itself, one should extract the rasa-khota. (22)
Worn in the mouth for a year, it destroys wrinkles and graying hair. This herb-bound mercury grants all success. (23)
The herb-binding truly performed by Nāgārjuna and others is the best, granting all success and performing all tasks always. (24)

Triturate purified, excellent mercury and mica-eaten mercury well with the juice of jalakumbhī water lettuce for seven days. (25)
Construct a crucible for it and place the mercury inside. Close the mercury-crucible with another blind-crucible a sealed vessel. (26)
One should provide a puṭa using one forest-cow-dung cake. In this way, give puṭas with an increase of one cow-dung cake each time. (27)
By this very method, give three puṭas. The King of Mercury attains binding, as the Guru's word is truth. (28)

Triturate pulverized dhurta seeds constantly with effort. Subject the King of Mercury to the ūrdhva-yantra an upward-distillation apparatus twenty-one times. Then, place it in a mortar. (29-30)
Triturate it for seven days with the extract of ingudī desert date leaves. Triturate it with the juice of bhṛṅgarāja Eclipta prostrata and with viṣa-kharpara a type of poisonous calamine ore. (31)
Triturate it for three days each with the juice of pāṭhā Cissampelos pareira and with the juice of lajjālu sensitive plant. It attains binding definitely. (32)
Steam it in a dolā-yantra a swinging-pot apparatus for a week in the juice of dhurta. (33)
