having spread from Kashmir, like the unfolding fragrance of saffron,Saffron is a symbol of Kashmir's prosperity and purity. delighting all people,

may this land, though unseen by some, bring joy to the righteous, like the dispersal of saffron. || 1 ||

Cross, with speed, the ocean of existence samsara the cycle of birth and death, and establish yourself in the Supreme State,

which is unmoving, filled with eternal light and bliss.

Contemplate the nectar of non-dual knowledge as instructed by Shiva,

which bestows an inner surge of immediate illumination. || 2 ||
