...the state of being the seed-essence of the Supreme Shiva and Lord, consisting of the essence of the powers of Will, Knowledge, and Action, which are manifestations of the un-winked (ever-present) states of the internal, infinite, created, and emerging worlds. He unfolds the absorption into the Rudra-Yamala the union of Rudra and his Shakti, which is manifested by the Goddess-power of the Mother, and which is the state of the emergence of the Lord through the closing and opening of the duality of the world. This is what is spoken of in the non-dual doctrine as the five acts of the Lord.
In the stage of the 'Pashyanti' the subtle level of speech and so on, the Goddess of Consciousness, being awakened, is the sixth implying the source of the five elements or senses, non-different from the Supreme Bhairava. She, although always manifest as the Self, appears as if distant because she is beyond the reach of internal and external senses; she appears as if past in relation to the time of the 'Pashyanti' and others, and as if of the present day in the absence of the succession of days and months, which are conditional upon the parts of the individual Rudra the deity of transformation and the individual prana vital breath. As long as she reflects, she reflects: "I am the Goddess of Consciousness, who cried out, 'I am asleep'." In this way, she revealed the secret, which is the singular, clearly-shining Supreme Lady, who is to be awakened in the stages of 'Pashyanti' and others. Being thus awakened, she said: "I am the form of Bhairava, who is defined as 'He who makes everything roar' a play on the etymology of Bhairava: bhayā-ravayati."
