Acharya Paramhansa Mishra is a scholar blessed by the shaktipata-diksha initiation through descent of grace of an excellent guru. His heart, like a mirror illuminated by the profound practice of the Shaiva Tantras, reflects the entire tradition. Consequently, making that reflected tradition understandable and accessible to all through language is an easy task for him. Who does not know the fact that without understanding a principle, mystery, or theorem oneself, it cannot be explained to anyone else? It is my firm belief that this ability to explain is also obtained only through divine grace—
Acharya Mishra is a practitioner who has reached that state of "Shiva-aham" I am Shiva. I warmly welcome his scholarly endeavor. While offering this first part of "Shri Svacchandatantram" into the hands of those who delight in the Shaiva Agamas, I myself feel a sense of good fortune. Other parts will also be published as soon as possible. I am fully confident that this massive number of publications of Shaiva Agama texts will grant Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, the same fame as Kashmir, the birthplace of Pratyabhijna.
In the context of this noble publication, if the Publication Director, Dr. Harishchandra Mani Tripathi, is not mentioned, my expression of well-wishes (svastivacika) would remain incomplete. Dr. Tripathi is that jewel of knowledge whose light keeps the atmosphere of this university perpetually bright. This fame-enhancing publication institute of the university is the result of Mani Ji's labor, dedication, integrity, and relentless effort, as Dr. Tripathi himself obtained a grant of several lakhs from the government for the institute. In this regard, the university is indebted to him and is also proud of him. With these words, I offer my salutations at the feet of the Deity of Knowledge—
