For those who want to have a special knowledge of the philosophical aspects of Tantric esoteric ritual Culture, I would recommend a systematic study of the S'aktisūtra Aphorisms on the Goddess, Paraśurāma Kalpasūtra Aphorisms on the Rituals of Parashurama, Vāmakeśara Tantra Tantra of the Lord of Vamakesha, Tantrarāja King of Tantras, Bhāvanopaniṣad Upanishad on Contemplation, etc., and the works of Bhāskara Rāya and others. It is needless to add that a familiarity with the Kashmirian S'aiva relating to Shiva literature will be greatly helpful in connection with these studies.
The present edition of the work is prepared from a single manuscript belonging to the Government Sanskrit Library, Benares. As it was generally a correct manuscript, it has not given rise to much trouble in textual determination.
