Tripura Rahasya

Om. Salutations to the One who is the embodiment of causal bliss and supreme consciousness.
She shines as the mirror reflecting the wonderful images of the universe. 1

Victorious is She, the Supreme, the radiant Tripura, who witnesses all.
She, in the form of the Guru, uplifts those who serve Her from the cycle of existence. 1

Having bowed to the Lord of Obstacles Lord Ganesha, I set forth this Tātparyadīpikā Lamp of Intent on the Section on Knowledge of the mystery of Tripura. 2

Relying on the raft of the Guru’s word, I desire to cross the great ocean of the Section on Knowledge, in union with the pilot who is the feet of the Divine Mother. 3

In this work, the blessed Hārītāyana a sage/author, out of a desire to uplift those immersed in the mire of suffering, has composed this excellent history known as the Tripurā Rahasya The Mystery of Tripura in poetic form. The primary focus here is the knowledge that is the means to the supreme human goal. Having first composed the Section on Majesty, which forms the basis of the devotion that is the foremost means for that goal, he now provides for those seekers who have reached the necessary qualification through hearing the Majesty of the Goddess, the realization of their own self-nature.
