Kalatantra. Apart from these, like our Tantric Kavachas protective amulets/prayers, there are also countless Dharani mantric formulas collections among the Nepalese Buddhists. Many Tantras of the Buddhist people have been translated into Chinese and Tibetan languages. In Tibet, Tantra is called Rgyud-sde Gyü-dé. This Rgyud-sde consists of 87 parts, which especially describe the secret rituals, instructions, hymns, Kavachas, mantras, and worship procedures of the Buddhist people. Tantras spoken by Shiva are also of three types: Shakta, Shaiva, and Vaishnava. Tantric practitioners follow the Tantras of their own sect and act accordingly.
With the change of time, an era arrived where the books of the Agama or Tantra began to disappear. Those gentlemen who had two or four books did not even let them be exposed to the air. Because of this, these books continued to disappear. Ten or twelve years ago, my respected elder brother, Baldevprasadji Mishra, obtained many books on Tantra scripture and himself had them printed and also published by other publishers. Then several other gentlemen also thought of reviving the Tantra scripture, but many deceitful people collected trash from here and there and published fake Tantras. This is the reason why many fake Tantras are seen circulating these days. It is appropriate for customers to buy Tantra books after checking them carefully.
The present Yogini Tantra is a famous and respected book of the Tantra scripture. In it, besides the Shatkarma six magical rites, there is a detailed description of all those Pithasthanas sacred sites where, by practicing the Tantras, the success of the experiment is achieved quickly and the practitioner attains his desired goal. Until today, there was no translation of the Yogini Tantra into the common language; only the original text was sold. But for the benefit of the Tantric people, the owner of the "Shrivenkateshvara" Press, Bombay, the honorable Seth Khemraj Shrikrishnadas, printed it with a commentary in the common language and fixed the price at only seven rupees. Therefore, the aforementioned gentleman deserves repeated thanks for doing such work for the benefit of the public.
