As for the descriptions, these may perhaps seem too prolix to some and sometimes superfluous due to the added illustrations. Yet, sometimes the flaws of art must be mended by descriptions; just as, if you consider the parts exchanged, especially if you have regard for the color and habit, a description always fails without a delineation. I have found certain species, and those quite rare, which perhaps underwent some mutation of both color and form due to a different location or the condition of the air, etc., or will experience this yet, such that their description might be entirely incomplete, to be rendered better by repeated investigation thereafter.
