7. Tubercularia, with an obsolete receptacle, compact round gelatin.
3. Hysterium, with an oblong perithecium, dehiscing splitting open by a longitudinal slit.
4. Xyloma, flattened, suborbicular, dehiscing unevenly, stuffed inside.
SARCOCARPI. Fleshy-fruited fungi. Fleshy, stuffed fungi.
11. Sclerotium, receptacle absent. Variable in form, internally smooth and uniform.
12. Tuber, receptacle absent. Large subglobose, internally distinguished by seed-bearing veins.
10. Pilobolus, head-shaped vesicle, placed upon a stipe-like hydrophorous water-bearing receptacle.
9. Thelebolus, papilla-shaped vesicle, sitting on a globose cup-like receptacle.
8. Sphaerobolus, globose vesicle, initially included in a globose, radially fissured receptacle.
OBS. The vesicle in these three genera springs out elastically.
