Fig. 1. Sphaeria fragiformis (a slightly larger, blackish variety). Fig. 2. The same dissected transversely. This species belongs to the second section.
— 2. Sphaeria concentrica, var. stipitate. Fig. 4. represents the same in diameter.
OBS. It offers the idea of the first section, although it pertains more to the second section.
— 5. Sphaeria verrucaeformis. The same is shown in Fig. 6 with the epidermis removed, magnified by a lens, and in Fig. 7. a. it is proposed in diameter to show the small spheres.
— 7. b. Proposes Sphaeria quercina in such a way, but this species differs from the former by its manifest, subangular openings. These two species belong to the third section.
