It also provided an opportunity to note the textual differences by comparing the seed mantras of both copies. I tried to make the book as pure and authentic as possible by naming Pt. Shivadatta's copy 'Book A' and Pt. Girish Chandra's copy 'Book B', and mentioning the appropriate revisions and textual variants.
When the book was ready for publication, a photocopy of an ancient small book titled 'Saptashati Mantra' was obtained from the famous astrologer Sri Bhairav Prasad 'Deep', which contains the seed mantras of 'Tantra Durga Saptashati'. I have used this book slightly in the footnotes with the sign 'Book C'.
When the computer typing of 'Tantra Durga Saptashati' was finally finished, by my good fortune, Shankaracharya Swami Sri Swaroopanand ji of Dwarka and Jyotish Peeth came to Haridwar, and I showed him this book. Readers can see the thoughts of the revered Shankaracharya ji in this book in the form of 'Blessings'.
It is also necessary to express gratitude at this place. Expressing gratitude is not just a 'display' for me. It is my humble gratitude towards great gurus, friends, and collaborators. Because whatever is in this book belongs to them, nothing is mine—'This is not mine'.
With this sentiment, I am grateful for the causeless grace of my two great gurus, the late Swami Sri Swayanjyoti Tirtha ji (Gyansadhan Ashram, Bharuch) and the late great yogi Swami Sri Vishnu Tirtha ji (Dewas), who gave me Shaktipat descent of divine power initiation. Without the blessings of these great teachers, all my classical knowledge remains merely 'words', devoid of the experience of meaning.
I am also grateful to the revered Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Sri Swaroopanand Saraswati, who obliged me by writing the blessing-filled introduction to the book. I am grateful to Dr. Prof. Vishnudatta Rakesh for his encouragement and his doubt-destroying inspiration.
I am also grateful to Sri Dev Swami (Mangal Ashram, Kankhal) and Sri Kalyananda
