¶ Regarding certain men and their accidents.
¶ Many men famous and great in doctrine, genius, power, or authority will perish by sudden death.
¶ Men will make many journeys and movements: in which they will generally profit. Although some ought to suffer in them: and especially on the sea.
¶ Men will take little joy in comforts, pleasures, and loves, but here they will undertake labors and dangers. Clerics also, poets, and musicians will fare badly with adverse fortune.
¶ Many young and beautiful women, charming young men, and lovers will meet with sad accidents, and many women will be violated, and pregnant women will suffer dangers.
¶ Justice, religion, and probity will appear in the great: which for the most part will be feigned: but afterwards, injustice and evils will be committed by them, nor will they keep faith and promises.
¶ Many men will devote themselves to clear sciences, and clear sciences, such as Astrologia Astrology, Medicina Medicine, and the like, will be exalted.
¶ They will handle affairs and deeds this year under many cunning tricks and deceits, and very many will fall into anxieties and fears. Thus also, certain peoples and many rich men will be extorted and deprived of their wealth.
¶ Many Mercatores Merchants will err in the end in their affairs begun, which will be varied in order.
¶ Many Scribe Scribes and noble messengers will be confused in their affairs; they will be saddened when they see many things they started proceed for them sinisterly and in labor.
¶ Canoniste Canon lawyers and iuriste civil lawyers will stand with thin fortune, nor will they be able to exalt their affairs or finish them well according to their wish; and some distinguished ones will act and handle various and many things regarding affairs and deeds pertaining to the church, in which they will not fulfill their vows. And some of them will perish in their studies. Others, however, will be afflicted by arduous dangers and sad accidents.
¶ Regarding the state of certain nations.
¶ Many distinguished and magnanimous Siculis Sicilians will emerge with the spirit of transcending to wars and generous actions: where many will acquire honor and fame. And they will enter the fight and struggle gloriously. The nobles, indeed, in that place will be devoted to graceful actions and erudition.
