...in Leo last year in the midheaven. Similarly also by the past conjunction of the evils, Saturn and Mars. And also by the place of Mars in the revolution of the year in the angle of the west. Albumasar testifies: When Mars is in the revolution of the year in any of the angles, it signifies wars and killings, and because it participates in the lord of the year, therefore wars and killings will happen in many places with fires, many anxieties, and predation. And the wise say that from whatever part Mars is, and it is direct, from that part they say that war will be made by warlike and upright men who will securely show their face to the enemies nor will they turn their backs. Likewise, they say that when Mars is in Capricorn, as it is now, it signifies wars, depredations, tribulations, and deaths of men, especially the young. Similarly, tremors are to come in the parts of the east, with rains and a multitude of grain and butter, and there will be wars between the citizens of the east and the south, etc.
Chapter six, in general, on the ecclesiastical state.
Ecclesiastics generally, of any status and established in dignities, will suffer many detriments this year in their incomes and their substances, and they will have many anxieties with anguish in seeking lordships or benefits, and they will undertake journeys and changes which will not be very profitable for them, and they will return later than they think. We believe also, according to the disposition of the stars, that some of them will fail due to hot infirmities, some will labor with pains of the feet, legs, and private parts, and perhaps two of the major prelates of the church will depart from human affairs. These conclusions are proved: first, because of Jupiter, their significator in the figure of the prevention preceding the Sun's entry into Aries, is in the second house, which is the house of substance, in its detriment. Second, because in the figure of the revolution of the mundane year, the aforesaid Jupiter is the lord of the midheaven and is found in the fourth house, which is the house of possessions, similarly unfortunate. Third, because the aforesaid, at the hour of the prevention and also the revolution, passes through a cadent house, which is of change and travel, and because it is retrograde, therefore it will seize such men through journeys and they will return later than they think, nor will those journeys be very profitable for them because of the misfortune of the significators. Fourth, that some will fail due to hot infirmities because of Jupiter conjoined to Mars in a hot and fiery sign last year, and because the other significator, namely Mercury, in the same figure is in a sign that disposes such members, existing under the Sun's rays, as has been said. And similarly, it is confirmed because of the Moon, the lady of the house of religion, in the same figure situated in the domicile of Mars in the house of infirmities in opposition to Saturn. Lastly, that which was said about the death of two prelates is clear to the wise through the dispositions of the aspects from the places of their significators, both in the figures of the revolutions and the eclipses and also of the other figures of the superior conjunctions.
