and their mutual reception of other signs and their aspect, as is clear to the intelligent. And what is said concerning infirmities is because the Sun, the lord of Leo, was condemned by the eclipse last year in a common sign of two bodies, hot and moist—namely Gemini—and similarly it is to be condemned in the same sign in the future. And this is due to the past conjunction of Jupiter and Mars in Leo. Similarly, it is due to the past conjunction of the unfortunates, Saturn and Mars, in the sign of Libra, another significator of the Romans themselves. And also through the future lunar eclipse in the month of October in the sign of Taurus, which is the sign of the mid-heaven of all Italy and especially of the Romans; on account of which I foresee for some Roman magnate a certain descent, or fall, and ruin from his office, honor, or dignity. For this reason, therefore, we exhort the Holy Father and the sacred college, humbly falling on our knees, to apply greater care to this holy city so that all things may pass by peacefully. Indeed, we shall ponder not a little the perfection of the lesser conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter coming to Leo, the sign of the city, and the lunar eclipse about to occur newly in the opposite degree of the aforesaid conjunction. These constellations, although they sometimes incline, do not compel; for which reason, through his wisdom, one can overcome the stars. Since it is written: the wise person will rule the stars. And what has been said concerning Rome can also be understood of Mantua, Pavia, Brescia, Cremona, and, according to some, Perugia.

Let the Venetian lords beware for themselves this year, because the influences fall badly upon them, and they will be vexed by various sicknesses, and perhaps they will not be without an epidemic, along with the deaths or exiles of certain nobles or magnates. And certain movements of arms will appear there, so that a weakness or diminution of some of their dominion will occur, nor will they be very concerned with seeking peace; and if they have it, it will be with labor. If, however, they proceed further without peace having been made, let them know they will incur many adversities because of Saturn in the ascendant, made unfortunate by retrogradation in the figure of the revolution of their city, and because of the Moon, the lady of the root ascendant, joined to Venus, the lady of the ascendant of the aforesaid revolution, and the house of death, together with Mercury sitting in the house of infirmities, especially because it will be made unfortunate by the eclipse occurring in the month of October. The same is proved through the places of the perfections from the root ascendant of the mid-heaven, of the Sun and Moon, and other directions. And what is said of the Venetians can be understood of Vicenza, Gubbio, Lucca, Palestrina, Pisa, and Constantinople.
