The Florentines will be powerful this year, unless some of the general sicknesses that were mentioned above should happen to them, or detriment to their substance through those who rule them, or even through discords or men hostile to them. Nevertheless, the cities subject to them will be of good counsel. And although they may have many detriments, their state will be improved. For evils seem to happen to them rather in the extreme parts of the year. Their enemies, however, will be weak and will seek concord, and perhaps some who are exiles will be recalled to their homeland this year. These things are evident through the figure of the revolution of their city, where Mars, the lord of the mid-heaven at the hour of the revolution itself, is in the ascendant in his exaltation. Aries, their sign in the figures of the revolutions, is sufficiently fortunate both due to its situation in good houses of the sky and the existence of Venus, the lesser fortune, within it, and for many other reasons which we omit for the present. And what is said of Florence, we can understand to apply to Faenza, Imola, Arezzo, and Bertinoro.
The Bolognese, this year, due to the significators, will not be without dangers, ambushes, anxieties, prisons, various infirmities, and perhaps an epidemic. And some of the primates there will suffer loss of their substance, and perhaps will perish by an evil death. The Bolognese are disposed toward journeys, and some secret and occult councils will take place in that city, and there will be a change of some, so that many will involuntarily expose their substance. All these things are evident to the wise through the figure of the revolution of their city, and also through the figure of the revolution of the year of the world, and through the eclipses of both the Sun and the Moon. Similarly, through the conjunction of Jupiter and Mars, and Mars and Saturn, and through many other directions. The same is understood of the Trevisans, Sienese, Veronese, and the Campanians.
The Milanese will certainly be involved in evil thoughts this year and will have enemies from whom they will suffer detriments in person and substance on account of quarrels, wars, or homicides. And because many will also have infirmities, and plague is much to be feared there on account of Cancer, their sign, being in opposition to Mars and in square to Saturn in the first figures. And in the figure of the revolution of Libra, their sign is for the house of death. In that figure of the preceding Sun's entry into Aries, the aforesaid sign is for the house of hidden enemies. All these things are confirmed by the misfortune of the Moon, the lady of their said sign, by the eclipse, and by its bad placement in the figures of the revolutions, and by the application that the Moon itself has to the unfortunates. The same is understood of the Barbarians, Constantinopolitans, Luccans, and the like.
