Prognosticon for 1485 and 1486

It pleased me to begin with these verses before I came to explain these dire constellations. For the prognostication of this year will be difficult and very intricate because of the eclipses I have mentioned and the conjunctions of Saturn and Jupiter which took place in the previous year. For the greater understanding of these, a few things about the great conjunctions and others that have been must be revealed, without which no one could properly judge or predict the prophecy of the present year, and would proceed to judge like a beggar in need. In the year 1484, on the 5th day of November, the minor conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter occurred, which is the sixth in this fiery triplicity since they shifted from the airy to the aquatic, and they were conjoined in the 4th degree of Scorpio, 4 minutes, with the 16th degree of Libra ascending, in which Mars rules. And according to the nature of Mars itself and the sign of Scorpio, its significance will be greatest in the places subject to Aries and Scorpio and their oppositions and squares, which will dispose men to treason, litigation, and wars, as will appear more clearly in the following; and it will signify almost a change of all things. And as Hermes says, it will be difficult to break this work, and it agrees with that which signified the advent of Mahomet, whose seventh sign was Scorpio ascending, and in this one of ours, Saturn was northern to Jupiter. It signifies that the year will be plagued by rain, frost, and wars, and also pestilence in the places subject to it, its oppositions, and squares, and especially to the forgers of money, as all its effects will endure because they are in a fixed sign. The sign of the great circle from the great conjunction which preceded the flood of Noah is the Leo Lion dominion to the moon, because we are in the 14th circle, as proven by the words of Omar and that most expert of all, Albumasar, and it reached through direction to the eleventh degree of Libra, and the lord of the term is Mercury, but the divider in the year is Mars.
The great conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Aries which preceded the flood of Noah was 2797 years [before Christ], and from that year to this year, 1485, there have passed 4865 years, which, if you divide by the 360 degrees of the zodiac, indicates that we are in the 14th great circle, imperfectly giving 360 to each degree, and the moon is in the same dominion.
