The Birth of the Prophet Muhammad

This illustration originates from Rashid al-Din Hamadani's 'Jami‘ al-tawarikh' (Compendium of Chronicles), one of the most important historical texts of the Ilkhanate period, which aimed to document the history of the world including the life of the Prophet.
