The patrol inspector leads the archers and patrol boat out onto the river to patrol, reaching Xiangshuigou fifteen li approx. 7.5 km upstream to connect with the archers of the Dasheng Pass and the covert official troops at Shangxinha. Downstream, they reach Caoxiejia ten li approx. 5 km to connect with the covert official troops of the Lower River. Regarding the river mouths on the left and right of the middle reaches, official military boats from the Xinjiangkou patrol station are already stationed there for defense. As the office is situated near the river, its jurisdiction is narrow and constrained. There are also covert official troops patrolling and guarding in mutual support, which is quite strict and thorough. It is fitting to order the patrol inspector to continue directing the soldiers and operating the boats to patrol back and forth as before.

The Jianghuai Patrol Inspection Office has one patrol inspector, forty archers, and two patrol boats. The jurisdiction extends upstream to the Fushakou Patrol Inspection Office under Hezhou and downstream to He County.
