The Guabu Patrol Inspection Office under its jurisdiction is over one hundred li away from both Fushakou and Guabu. The areas in between, such as Xuzi River, Wangjiatao, and Bazigou, are extremely perilous. It is proposed that the archers be divided into two shifts, with twenty men per shift and two patrol boats, each carrying ten men. By advancing in a pincer formation original: "犄角而出" (emerging like the horns of a bull) and combining forces to suppress and capture, river pirates can be cleared and transit will become convenient.

The Maling Town Patrol Inspection Office has one patrol inspector, thirty-two archers, and patrol boats; they are originally stationed on land with no ships. The jurisdiction extends forty li upstream to Heding Bridge and thirty li downstream to Wuque Bridge. This office was originally under the jurisdiction of the Prefecture. All areas under its mandate are on land and do not border the river or ocean. The thirty-two archers patrol and apprehend within the office's jurisdiction.
