Pindar, Odes; Theocritus, Idylls; Lycophron
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The work is a Renaissance-era Greek compilation (likely a 16th-century edition, misdated as 1350) containing works by Pindar, Theocritus, and Lycophron. While the major works of these authors have been translated into English individually many times (e.g., in the Loeb Classical Library), this specific 'omnibus' compilation, which includes 'alia aliorum excerpta' (other excerpts by others), has never been translated into English as a single, complete volume. Therefore, while the constituent parts are available in English, the work as a specific collection is a first complete translation.
