Upon the union of the divine; that is, of the supersubstantiality, the united is the un-originate Triad and common, the supersubstantial existence; the super-God deity; the super-good goodness; the unity above the principality; the ineffable; the polyphonic; the ignorance; the all-thought; the position of all; the removal of all; according to the account, the remaining and foundation of the super-principled hypostases, which is above every assertion; wholly united; just as the lights of lamps—to use sensible and familiar examples—being in one house; for all are whole in all [others], and have the precise distinction of being subsistent specifically from one another; united by distinction; and by union, distinguished; and so we see even in a house of many lamps, the lights of all being united into one light; and shining forth as one indistinguishable radiance; and I think no one would be able to distinguish the light of this lamp from the others; from the air containing all the lights; and to see one without the other; [they are] mingled together unmixedly whole in whole; but also if someone were to take its torch out of the room; the entire proper light will also go out; not dragging any of the other lights with itself or leaving its own to its companions; for the union of the whole which was above them, was present as a complete union, mixed with nothing at all; and not compounded with any part; and these [are so], even though the air is in a body; and the light is hung from material matter
