This booklet, dealing with 59 observations
of insects, I previously published in Nuremberg
at the request of many prominent enthusiasts.
But because the High German original: "Hoogduitſche"
language is not commonly used in these lands, I
have decided, in order to satisfy many
lovers of these bloodless creatures, to bring
the same to light here in the Low German original: "Nederduitſche"
language, with the addition of 15 more
observations with their descriptions. If I may
only have the good fortune that this modest
labor of mine finds favor with some, it will
further stimulate me to publish not only
those creatures which I found in Germany,
but also those which I have collected in
great numbers in Friesland and Holland.
Farewell.
