To the left, a table or sideboard holds various bowls and plates. Behind the cook, shelves against the wall are stocked with numerous jars, jugs, and kitchen vessels. A small window with a lattice pane is visible in the background. The initials "I.V.M." are printed at the bottom right corner of the illustration.
