A rectangular engraved vignette with a decorative scalloped border. It depicts a young child or cherub sitting on a stone block, working at a printing press or a similar mechanical device. On a plaque attached to the machine are the words "THROUGH TIME AND DILIGENCE". A wooden bucket stands on the floor nearby. The scene is set outdoors with trees in the background. The signature "J. G. Del." is visible at the bottom of the engraving.
