Letter of the King of Bantam to the King of England.
A letter from your friend, the King of Bantam, to the King of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, by which he prays God to keep you in health, and to exalt you and all your intentions more and more. As Your Majesty has sent over a General, Hendrik Middleton, the same has arrived safely to me. I heard that Your Majesty had come to the Crown of England, over which I rejoice from my heart, as England and Bantam are both as one. I have also received a present from Your Majesty, for which I say great thanks. I send Your Majesty 2 bezoar stones stones found in animal stomachs, historically prized for medicinal properties, the one weighing 14 and the other 3 maces a unit of weight used in the East Indies, equivalent to a small fraction of a tael. May God take you further into His keeping.
