Fleet of 8 ships under Pedro da Nhaya.
Decorative drop cap 'I' featuring floral and vine motifs.

Cyde Barbudo and Pedro Quaresma set sail in the month of September of the same year with orders to cruise along the entire coast from the Cape of Good Hope to Sofala, to investigate whether they could obtain any tidings of Francisco d'Albuquerque and Pedro de Mendoza, who were understood to have disappeared within sight of that land. What the outcome for these latter 2 captains was shall be told at the end of this voyage. We shall now continue our narrative with Pedro da Nhaya.
