befell the author on his journey, both by storm,
and by the mutiny and tyranny of his own people,
his capture, and return
to England.
Described by the traveler himself in English, and now for the first
time translated from that language into Dutch.
Enriched with a necessary Register and Art-Prints.
An ornate printer's mark or vignette depicts a figure seated in a landscape, working at a small desk or easel. Behind the figure, a banner or cloth is suspended between wooden posts bearing the Dutch motto "DOOR TYD EN VLYT" Through Time and Diligence. The scene is framed by decorative scrolling flourishes and includes a tree to the right and a structure resembling a tent or hut to the left.
