While the individual Greek poems contained in this volume (the Orphic Hymns, Argonautica, and Lithica) have been translated into English from the original Greek by various scholars (e.g., Thomas Taylor, Apostolos Athanassakis, Jason Colavito), Gottfried Hermann's specific 1805 critical edition has never been translated into English. Crucially, Hermann's extensive Latin prolegomena, critical notes, and editorial apparatus, which constitute a significant portion of this scholarly work, remain unavailable in English translation.
